About Us

The 8th Fire is about Prophecy, about returning to The Original Instructions and being guided by the heart, and a choice of paths to healing the past, the present, and the future, and how we live.

“We are of service to all life present, past, and future and we honor that sacredness by providing the Ceremonies and Rituals that help to heal life by training The New People with expert knowledge and support them with the best training and materials available while helping cultivate their own Medicines within them.”

“To train and create world-class healers to help not only end the suffering of this world, but to help heal all life and to be guided by healed outcomes and destiny. By offering authentic, traditional training in the Algonquin Healing Arts we will help to raise conscious awareness of an individuals impact and contributions to the world and all life by helping them to heal themselves, and the environments that they share with all life.”

Algonquin Medicine Man (Pete Bernard) is an Algonquin from the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation in Golden Lake, Ontario, Canada. He is the President of the Federally Incorporated Not-For-Profit Organization “The Rainbow Flame Medicine Lodge”, a formal part of the many giving and charitable functions that have been supported by The 8th Fire and Algonquin Medicine Man.

Most importantly he is just a man and does not purport to be anything more than that. He believes that any person can be more than what they are, and the way that we become more is to begin healing our stuff so it does not affect us or our decision making in our lives and loves.

He believes that anyone or anything can heal, and is designed to heal, and that there are different types of healing. Sometimes the body heals, emotions heal, the Spirit heals, but some type of healing always takes place in Ceremony, which is why we do it.

He believes that we can use the mind and The Dream Reality to help heal us and our lives, and make our lives better. He believes in prayer, that everything and everyone is Sacred, and that we all have an important role to play in this life.

He believes that their are things that cannot be seen with the human eye, but can be seen with our 3rd Eye, our Inner Eye, and that when we enter into the Divine Trance State we can perceive so much more, and meaningfully interact with it, heal it if need be, and claim our medicines and our lives.

He is a Midewin (often referred to as a Healer or Shaman) who offers private healing ceremonies, rituals, group healing circles, and offers various training programs for those interested in learning Medicine Work. He also offers public talks on Spirituality and Healing.

Along with being Traditionally Trained in Medicine Work, he is also a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Certified Hypnotist, Instructor of Hypnotherapy (certified by the American Board of Hypnotherapy [ABH]), The 8th Fire, Inc. is an ABH Approved School of Hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner, Medical Qigong, Reiki Master, and trained in many other types of healing.

This passion to learn about and practice healing was for a simple reason. To heal himself. While trying to understand why things happened to him in his life, the question became very clear. What was it all for? and why? He found his “why?” Let him help you find yours.

If you are able to live through pain, suffering, negative emotions, and trauma, and can begin to heal it, then you can help others to do it as well. You can only lead someone as far as you have been, and only if you know the way. When he works with clients, he is a guide, to help them pass through these places on the path and to walk their own healing path.

“You can heal any part of your body, mind, and spirit without exception.”

He is the Founder of The 8th Fire and Master Trainer for the 2-Year Earning The Light Program, the Intermediate, and Mastery Level Programs teaching Medicine Work (Shamanism) and also Quantum Star Reiki Master and Trainer.
